While Brunei Darussalam has been spared from a serious downturn, AMBD remains vigilant and continues to undertake necessary measures to safeguard the monetary and financial stability of the country and mitigate future risks. AMBD will continue to foster the development of a sound and progressive financial sector so as to secure Brunei Darussalam’s position as a reputable financial centre, particularly in Islamic finance.

Furthermore, AMBD strives to increase financial innovation as well as attract new activities and market players. We aim to achieve this through a balance of a robust regulatory regime and a conducive and enabling environment.
